Abstract
The volume examines the microstructure and operating features of the Italian interbank system, which, unlike other countries, is organized as a quote driver electronic market. Particular emphasis is placed on the advantages offered by structure features and exchange organization in terms of efficiency in banks’ liquidity management and on the benefit offered to the market in the day-by-day management of monetary policy in the Eurozone
