Banks’ Policy on Lending Operations (in Italian)

Arturo Patarnello, Universita di Milano - Bicocca

Abstract

The book traces the main features of the Italian credit market and the managerial processes directing banks’ financing operations of enterprises and it offers an in-depth examination of models of evaluation and estimate of insolvency risk. Particular emphasis is placed on the evolution of prudential regulations which in the 90’s offered some autonomy margins to financing choices through credit or venture risk, outlining new patterns in the relationship between banks and enterprises in Italy.
