Dr. Anthony J. Rothschild, M.D., is Professor of Psychiatry and the Irving S. and
Betty Brudnick Endowed Chair of Psychiatry at the University of Massachusetts Medical
School. His primary research interest and the focus of his clinical practice have been
the neurological bases and pharmacological treatment of depressive and anxiety disorders.
A particular focus of his research has been on increasing our understanding of the
pathophysiology and treatment of major depression with psychotic features (psychotic
depression).
