About Angela Burns, MS

Angela Burns is the Clinical Coordinator for the echocardiography program at St. Catherine University. For over 19 years, she worked in the cardiovascular department at Mayo Clinic. She began her career as an exercise physiologist in cardiopulmonary rehabilitation before moving into echocardiography and then advanced cardiac sonography. Throughout her career, Angie has been involved in teaching, presenting and mentoring students. She holds a bachelor of science in physical education and a master of science in cardiac rehabilitation from the University of Wisconsin, La Crosse and is credentialed in Adult Cardiac Sonography and Advanced Cardiovascular Sonography.
