About Andrew P Patrick

I am a PhD candidate in American History at the University of Kentucky whose research utilizes an agroecological perspective to interpret historical developments on the Inner Bluegrass landscape. Tracing the complex influences that shaped the regional environment allows for a greater appreciation of the land as an evolving factor in history, rather than a static stage for human action. My research ranges from the period before Euro-American incursions into the region through the end of the nineteenth century.
