Professor Andrée J. Rathemacher is Head, Acquisitions in the University Libraries at the University of Rhode Island where she manages the libraries' materials budget of over $3.5 million. From 2003-2009 she was Head, Serials Unit/ Electronic Resources Librarian, during which time she coordinated the conversion of the vast majority of the libraries' periodical subscriptions to online format. From 1995-2003 she held the position of Reference/Bibliographer, Business and played a key role in developing the libraries' highly regarded information literacy program. Professor Rathemacher serves as subject selector and liaison for business, labor relations and human resources, economics, and environmental and natural resource economics. She is active on a number of HELIN Consortium and university committees and serves on the Board of Trustees of the South Kingstown Public Library.
