About Andrea Hopmeyer

In addition to teaching departmental core courses, Dr. Hopmeyer teaches courses that explore how individuals grow and change across the lifespan and the growing pains that accompany those changes.
Her courses include developmental psychology, adolescence, and Loneliness Across the Lifespan. She also teaches a cultural studies course on the changing family. Andrea Hopmeyer's research focuses on children's and adolescents' social and emotional development. She has published articles on loneliness in childhood and adolescence, peer conflict, and popularity.
