Mindfulness Leadership
Abstract
Mindfulness is a concept that originally comes from Buddhism but which is being incorporated into leadership and neuroleadership research. A lot of us, including leaders spend much of our time in reactive thinking. Mindfulness research tells us that having the capacity to step back from our thinking patterns and cultivate a less cluttered mind improves the quality of presence, attention and focus. Or in other words, learning how to think better and think less excessively and reactively may improve the quality of our leadership. This research explores ways to do this.Suggested Citation
