Ali Radloff, BA(Hons) Melb; MSc (Info Sc) Lond, works as a Research Fellow as part of the Higher Education Research Programme at the Australian Council for Educational Research (ACER). During her time at ACER, she has been closely involved in several large-scale survey and assessment projects run within Australia and internationally. She has worked on a diverse range of projects in the areas of student admissions, student learning, teaching, student outcomes, and academic leadership. She has worked with all Australasian universities as well as several other higher education and tertiary education institutions, peak bodies and government agencies. As part of her work in higher education research, Ali manages the Australasian Survey of Student Engagement (AUSSE), a large cross-national survey of undergraduate students, postgraduate coursework students and academic staff at Australian and New Zealand universities, private providers and tertiary education institutions. She has also worked on many other projects in the tertiary education area including the development of the University Experience Survey (UES), Online Leadership Learning System (OLLS), the Australian Quality Training Framework (AQTF) Quality Indicators project, and the Assessment of Higher Education Learning Outcomes (AHELO). Ali has also been involved in other non-higher education research projects, including the Programme for International Student Assessment (PISA), and National Assessment Program – Literacy and Numeracy (NAPLAN). Prior to coming to ACER, Ali worked as a project manager in market research and managed various government and non-government research projects. She holds a Bachelor of Arts, with Honours in Psychology from the University of Melbourne, and a Master of Information Science from University of London.
