Ali Ahmadinia is a senior lecturer in Glasgow Caledonian University since 2012,
where he joined in 2008 as a lecturer in embedded systems. From 2006-2008, he was a
Research Fellow in System-Level Integration at the University of Edinburgh, developing an
environment supporting automatic generation of new System-on-Chip architectures targeting
high performance low power wireless applications. During 2004-2005, he was a research
staff in the electronic imaging group at the Fraunhofer Institute for Integrated Circuits
(IIS), Erlangen, Germany. He received his PhD degree on “Optimization Algorithms for
Dynamically Reconfigurable Embedded Systems” at the University of Erlangen-Nuremberg,
Germany. He has expertise in system-on-chip architectures and embedded systems targeting
wireless and DSP applications. Dr. Ahmadinia’s work has resulted more than 60
international journal and conference publications in the areas of reconfigurable
computing and system-on-chip design, wireless and DSP applications.
