Muslims in New York City in the aftermath of 9/11 has become a very controversial
topic. I desire to communicate the truth, and reveal some of the facts through research
that the World may know how Muslims are being treated in the United States of American. I
was born and raised in Pakistan, one of the most dangerous country on the planted as it
was reported by number of media outlets but as a Christian minority regardless of the
intense discrimination in Pakistan I made my way though difficulties because I chose not
to be oppressed. I have been living in New York City where I conducted my doctoral
research among Muslims. I have seen Pakistani Muslims in American struggling for the same
identity and recognition as American citizen that Pakistan Christians are struggling with
in Pakistan. However, most of the Muslims in NYC reject the claims of some of the
available studies that Muslims has been discriminated. Many of the Muslims in the US
says, Its a "political game" far beyond truth.
