Since 1986 I have served as a member of the University of Tennessee Library Faculty. During this time my main role has been that of Education Librarian. In addition I have worked in many areas of library and information studies as well as serve as an adjunct faculty member for the School of Information Science. My research areas include, effective reference service, using technology to instruct users on effective research techniques. In addition I am very interested in research in early jazz music and the work of the late Tennessee native J. Lawrence Cook.
