Aidan Ricketts LLB(Hons)(UQ), LLM(QUT) 

Aidan Ricketts is an experienced social and environmental activist as well as a prominent
activism educator, academic and writer having published extensively in this field both in
academic journals and book chapters. Aiden’s upcoming book on community activism, The
Activists Handbook: a step-by-step guide to participatory democracy ISBN: 9781848135925,
is available for pre-order from Zed Books. 

Aidan is also a qualified and experienced educational designer and has applied this
knowledge in the writing and design of an interactive CD ROM activist training resource
entitled “Changing the World” . 

Recently Aidan taught at the University of the South Pacific in Vanuatu, providing legal
education across twelve different Pacific nations, he is currently employed at Southern
Cross University School of Law and Justice.
