Quality Monitoring

Adrian Beavis, ACER

Abstract

Quality Monitoring in PISA is about observing the extent to which data are collected, retrieved, and stored according to the procedures described by the field operations manuals. Quality control is embedded in the field operations procedures. For PISA 2000, Quality Monitors were appointed to do this observing, but the responsibility for quality control resided with the National Project Managers (NPMs) who were to implement the field operation guidelines and thus establish quality control.
