About Adam M. Kaye

Adam M. Kaye '95, PharmD, FASCP, FCPhA earned his doctor of pharmacy from University of the Pacific in 1995. He originally chose to pursue pharmacy after watching his mother deal with immeasurable suffering due to chronic pain, migraines and other health conditions. His career has also been influenced by his older brother who is an anesthesiologist.

Dr. Kaye loves the size of Pacific, which allows for close teacher-student interactions and for faculty to be accessible to students. He is grateful that at Pacific the faculty invest their time in helping students prepare for their careers in pharmacy. Dr. Kaye enjoys teaching students about pharmacology and therapeutics in order to prepare them to be practice-ready professionals. He is thrilled to have the opportunity to give back to his alma mater and his profession. His goal is to provide students with the knowledge needed to be competent, confident and inquisitive about their patients' medications and health conditions.

Dr. Kaye is actively involved in the San Joaquin Pharmacists Association, where he served four terms as President, and the California Pharmacists Association. He is also the Editorial Advisor for the Pharmacist's Letter, the Prescriber's Letter and the Pharmacy Technician's Letter. In addition, he has been the co-author of the Ident-A-Drug reference book since the late 1990s and has co-authored numerous chapters on pain and anesthesia. He is also a member of the American Pharmacists Association, the American Society of Consultant Pharmacists and American Society of Interventional Pain Physicians, as well as serving on the Advisory Board for the Pharmacist's Letter. Dr. Kaye is also a consultant to various physicians, healthcare organizations, attorneys and pharmacy technician educational training programs.

Dr. Kaye was born in New York; he later lived in Los Angeles and Arizona before settling in Stockton. His favorite thing about Stockton is that it is a small town, which makes it easier to meet people. He enjoys spending time with his wife and daughter. Dr. Kaye's interests include basketball and tennis.
