My areas of interest within the broad scope of economics are open economy macroeconomics, international finance and monetary economics. In the past few years I have also focused on various aspects of the Indian macroeconomy. Currently, I am with the Asian Development Bank in New Delhi working on various aspects of the Indian economy and macroeconomic management in Asian economies..Prior to this I have worked with other multilateral institutions like the International Monetary Fund, Washington DC and World Bank, New Delhi in diverse areas of economics. I have also worked at ICRIER where my primary focus was on recent developments in the Indian manufacturing and financial sector. I had an opportunity to present my research at various national and international conferences as well as publish in several international journals and edited volumes. I have also been engaged in teaching at the graduate and an undergraduate level. At the Jawaharlal Nehru University, I taught macroeconomics and international finance to students at the Masters andM.Phil level, while at the University of California, Santa Cruz, I taught macroeconomics at the Bachelor level. I have completed my Ph.D in International Economics from the University of California, Santa Cruz in 2006. Prior to this I also completed my M.Phil and M.A in Economics from Jawaharlal Nehru University, New Delhi, India.
