Dr. Chowdhury served as the director of the Master of Science in Applied Economics program at Marquette, 1991-95. He was a Senior Fulbright Scholar at Thammasat University, Bangkok, Thailand, 1995-96, a visiting professor with John Hopkins University's School for Advanced International Studies at Nanjing, China in 1996, and a visiting research fellow at the World Institute for Development Economics Research, United Nations University, Helsinski, Summer 1998. He has served as a manuscript referee for ten refereed scholarly journals.
